Auction Information:
- This is a one day auction. THE AUCTION WILL BEGIN AT 10 AM ON SATURDAY and we will go until all items are sold.
- We will begin selling Kitchen Displays & Appliances at 1 PM. All Kitchen Displays & Appliances will remain intact & in place until sold.
At 1 PM, an auctioneer and all interested parties will move to the showroom area for the sale of these items.
Dismantling and removal of these items must be with the assistance of a Workshops representative.
- You must register to bid at the auction. A photo id and credit card is required.
We will honor all credit cards, cash, and checks. Ohio sales tax is applicable on all sales unless a valid certificate of exemption is shown.
- Seating will be limited and is first come, first served.
- Most items for auction are from our inventory. We will have some items that we have purchased from other craftspeople around the country.
We will also be selling top of the line appliances, sinks, faucets, etc from prior kitchen display units.
- The larger items will have lot numbers assigned to them before the auction; smaller pottery items will be grouped in lots during the auction as they are sold.
The order of the sale will be random. Sorry, but we cannot take requests to put items up for auction.
- All items will have a tag that will show our retail showroom price. This will help you decide the price that you want to pay.
- All items are sold “as is” and are not returnable. Make sure that you know what you are bidding on.
We will make every attempt to inform you of any flaw or problem with every piece. Our furniture and pottery is distressed to look like an antique.
However, if there is a known problem/flaw with an item, it will be pointed out.
- We’re sorry that we cannot accept internet or phone bids.
- Your large purchases can be picked up in a pre-designated pick up area with a “paid” receipt. Please bring your own blankets for wrapping furniture.
We will only have a limited amount available for sale. There will be a “wrap your own” pottery area.
All small items will be given to the buyer as they are sold.
- We can store your furniture purchases for up to two weeks; after that time, a storage fee may apply. Delivery is available for a fee.
We will have installers available after the auction to assist in the breakdown of kitchen related cabinets, sinks, appliances.
If you wish to pick up after the auction, please call to schedule your pick up.
- If you are not successful at the auction bidding on a particular item, we will be offering a 20% discount on new furniture and chair orders.
We will have a designer and draftsman available to help you with your project. Kitchens and Architectural pieces are not discountable.
We will be showcasing our new pottery line, Earthen Artifacts, in the Kitchen Design Showroom.
For those of you who have never been to an auction, we have determined some facts about auctions that should help you feel comfortable participating:
- You are responsible for your bidding number. Be careful with it!!
- Auctions run fast; sometimes one item a minute. As items are selling, other items will be on their way up to be sold.
Come with a partner so you won’t miss anything during food and restroom breaks.
- The auctioneer will start the bidding low, and the price will build higher.
When the bidding slows and the auctioneer feels that the item has reached its top price, it will be sold.
- Our auctioneer, John Anglin & Associates, has 40 years experience. Along with Randy Anglin and Lawrence Cox,
he has conducted a dozen auctions for The Workshops. They will help make your Workshops Auction an enjoyable experience.
- Auctions are lots of fun. If you are new to buying at auction,
get your feet wet by bidding on a few smaller pottery pieces before you bid on the Entertainment Center.
If you pay attention, you can get some great bargains.
If you have questions prior to or during the auction, please contact any of our staff and we will do our best to assist you.
Thanks for your interest. We look forward to seeing you!
