Stained finishes highlight the natural appearance of the wood grain. While we construct our furniture using mostly Curly Maple, Cherry, and/or Poplar woods, Curly Maple and Cherry are the more popular choice of wood among clients seeking stained finishes.
Stained Cherry furniture often feels more elegant do to the natural red tint and dark rich wood. Occasionally you will find curl/figure in Cherry but it is not nearly as figured as Curly Maple. Our stained finishes accentuate the natural curl found in Curly Maple and can vary based on the amount of curl in the wood. Stained curly maple ultimately creates a unique piece that fits nicely in any room of your home no matter your style.
While browsing our stained finish samples please keep in mind that all of our finishes are accomplished by hand, so each piece has its own personality and may vary in texture, age, and color. We do our best to use high quality figured woods, however, ultimately we have no control over the amount of, or the placement of the figure present in the wood.
