• Grain Painted Finish

This fascinating decorating method originated hundreds of years ago with country cabinetmakers. Although it is an 18th & 19th century technique, this finish seamlessly transitions from the past to the present. What started as a method of decorating to imitate the wood grain of more expensive woods eventually became a desired finishing style in its own right, ranging from simple wood grain to the more ornate "fanciful graining". Each application is absolutely one-of-a-kind.
