As always, we hope that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase. In unlikely event that you are not, we offer differing policies depending on your method of purchase. All returns must be pre-approved by the sales department at The Workshops of David T. Smith. Please remember, as we strive to produce an authentic antique appearance reproduction, all items will have logical age and distress. For additional information, please review our policies page.
Due to the time involved in shipping related tasks, furniture that is canceled or returned after purchase could incur up to a 20% restocking fee.
Clearance, sale, seasonal, and wholesale items are All Sales Final and not eligible for return unless there are defects beyond normal aging.
Shipping PolicyAll larger furniture items may be shipped via Blanket Wrap. The charge for this service can vary greatly due to size, quantity of item(s), location, and other special circumstances. If you are purchasing this furniture piece online and select Shipping,
you will be charged an estimated shipping deposit during checkout. It is likely that your deposit will cover most or sometimes all of your final shipping charge. If your deposit does not cover the full cost of shipping, you will be contacted by our staff to discuss the shipping method and any additional charges will be finalized prior to shipment. Rest assured that we work hard to provide you the most reasonable rates possible and the highest quality shipping provider.
**It does take time to obtain the best rates and shipping quotes for our customer, so please be patient with us. ***Orders containing
both Made to Order (MTO)
and in-stock items will
ship together once ALL items are complete
Pickups
You do have the option to pick up your items during our regular business hours, Monday-Thursday from 10AM.-5PM. To allow us time to stage your item for pickup, you must notify us at least 24 hours prior to your pickup.
Once your item(s) are ready for pickup, you will receive a "Pickup Notification" email with directions on scheduling a pickup time. Online purchases can be held in our warehouse for two weeks at no charge.
Reminder: Ohio sales tax applies to all pickups. In the event you are picking up at our showroom from out of state, you may not have been charged sales tax at the time of purchase due to your shipping address. Sales tax will be charged separately at the time of pickup.
