Museum Painted
Imagine a piece with several layers of paint and age and wear accumulated throughout the years.
This is our most primitive painted finish, replicating a multi layered painted finish, called a “Paint History” which is so desired in today’s antique furniture. This color over color or single color finish is created by building up several layers of paint, finish, age, distress, and grime, to form a patina with depth and color variations that looks to have lived through 200 years of use. Repaint
Imagine a piece with several layers of paint, age, and wear accumulated throughout the years, with a fresh, new layer of paint over top.
Made to look like an antique with “Paint History” as if an old surface has been repainted. This one color, brushed paint finish leaves visible texture of age, distress, and grime under the fresh coat of paint, but does not show wood worn through. This finish is always a single color. Grain Painted Finish

We offer several styles of graining, normally a darker color over a single lighter base color. The graining can be done to replicate a wood grain or be done in a more fanciful, “Folk Art “ design, and is priced on a piece by piece basis. This very specialized, one-of-a-kind, authentic finish is usually applied by David.
